blinking AC light is indication of either compressor clutch slip or a pressure is out of whack. Get the trouble codes read.

The AC box that contains the Evaporator core is not sealed properly, or the drain is clogged again. Check the drain again, it exits under the car on passenger side base of engine bulkhead.

The AC temp sensor may be stuck on a low enough reading to not allow AC operation.

At 45 F that is just 12f above freezing and it is possible that the thermostat inside the car is turning the compressor off as it is intended to do. I suggest that you take it to an accredited ac specialist shop for pressure test and thermostat setting test.

You might just have a wire loose somewhere. My 96 Cadi did that a couple of times lastyear, then it was fine. Hasn't done it since.` So, who knows! Sorry, not much help to you.

first find and fix the leak then add the gas through the suction line to the compressor
