Why does my 2006 chevy malibu lt act like it does not want to go in drive?

The power steering is electric. There is no pump and no fluid to check. Most people end up with a new steering column installed. The electronic steering is what helps the car get such great gas mileage though. This is a big problem with these cars and you need to take it to the dealer. Hopefully GM is on there way with a recall. If they dont do something i will never buy another gm product again!

This isn't good for any cd's, but take another cd and jam it in there, not all the way in but hold on to it so you can jam it in and out, If therees a cd in there, it wont be anymore.

Put a scanner on the vehicle and get the code .
Obviously its an ABS PROBLEM and not the hydralic portion of the system.
Either a wheel sensor or the module were my experiences with your problem.
Once you get the code do the repair necessary ( use a shop manual this is not a difficult procedure to do)

The shift cable will need to be replaced. If not since its hard to move will eventually snap apart. This is a dealer part item at any GM dealership. If its a coluum shift I recomend you have this replace at a dealership as well. Floor shifters are so much easier to replace
