Where is the shift solenoid on a 1999 gmc jimmy

The shift solenoids are inside the tranny, just pull the pan and the filter and you will have a 20 lb piece of metal with a million slots cut in it called the valve body, in it contains, 2 shift solenoids and one lock up thing and one other electric thing, I would have to peek in the book for that one. But you can access this easy enough, your tranny will drip for days while you work on it, and the solenoid might not fix the problem. But a filter and partial oil change will help. Check it out, hope this helps.

Is it possible to reprogram a keyless entry remote to a 1998 GMC Jimmy?

1998 and newer Jimmy's and Blazer's

1. Close all vehicle doors.

2. Insert the key into the ignition.
3. Hold down the power UNLOCK button on the driver’s door panel-continue to hold
down until instructed to release in step 9.

4. Perform steps 5 through 8 in fairly rapid succession.
5. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the
engine).

6. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
7. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
8. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
9. Release the power unlock button on the door panel. The vehicle will lock and unlock
the doors automatically.

10. Hold down the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter simultaneously until
the door locks and unlocks.
This step may take up to 30 seconds.

11. Repeat step 10 NOW for each additional transmitter (including any existing
transmitters).

12. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position in order to exit the transmitter programming
mode.

Good luck and keep me posted, the 1997 was dome different.

Vents blowing constant cold air...told it was the blend door on my 1999 GMC Jimmy ....replaced thermostat.....flushed system and replaced cracked radiator....heater coil is not leaking. A/C is a seperate...

Its more than likely the blend door not moving to the heat position. I'm not familiar with the location of the blend door in the 1999 GMC jimmy, since I'm not a mechanic and don't have a manual on that vehicle. If you can get to the blend door housing you might be able to move it physically.
