Turbos are noisy if they are working. If you have the 2009 6.4L they (twin turbo) should be pretty quiet unless you have aftermarket items installed. If no aftermarket mods have been done have the coupling joint between the turbos and the outlet gasket checked by your dealer.
If it a 2007 as the heading says the original air filter and exhaust muffle a lot of the turbo whine but not all.

Water pump Install the water pump in the reverse order of removal, using a new gasket coated with sealer. Torque the bolts to 12-18 ft. lbs. Install all remaining parts in reverse order. Fill the cooling system, start the engine and check for leaks. TIMMING CHAIN
Disconnect the battery ground.
CAUTION
When draining the coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted by the ethylene glycol antifreeze, and are quite likely to drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. This will prove fatal in sufficient quantity. Always drain the coolant into a sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or several years old.
To install:
To replace the timing chain and sprockets:
