It means your auto gearbox has a problem, which needs to be rectified, go to a qualified mechanic before its too late, as overtime, faulty gearboxes tend to break down more resulting in higher repair costs

Both malfunction indicator light and electronic throttle control warning light is burning after I had my 2006 jeep crd overland serviced. The car is losing power wile driving. What do I need to solve

have the fault codes read and replace the faulty units. Ask the service person if they pressure cleaned the engine as that quite often causes problems with water getting into the connections and shorting out

TCS light on

The TCS (Traction Control System) indicator comes on or flashes under the following conditions:

When you turn the ignition switch
to ON (II).

When you manually turn off the
TCS.

It flashes when the TCS is
regulating wheelspin.

If the system's diagnostics senses
a problem in the TCS, the indicator
will come on and stay on.

If the brakes overheat, the
indicator will come on.

If the TCS indicator comes on and stays on for more than 10 minutes while driving, pull to the side of the road when it is safe and turn off the engine. Reset the system by restarting the engine, and watch the TCS indicator. If the indicator remains on, or comes back on while driving, have the system inspected by your Honda dealer. You can still drive the vehicle without TCS.

This indicator will come on along with the ABS indicator if there is a problem in the anti-lock brake system.
The TCS indicator may occasionally come on for one or two seconds and then go out. This is normal.

Hope this helps you figure it out.

1993 honda accord engine service light is on and Shift drive D4

If the drive light flashes there COULD be a trans problem. The Ck Engine light and the D4 light are on for the same reason. Take it to a qualified repair shop to have it checked out. Find a shop that regularly works on HONDA and not some chain store operation.

Green light indicator for drive in AT is flashing during driving

Did you replace the Transmission Fluid with Honda ATF-Z1 or GM Dexron III? Hondas, like Toyota and now many other brands use very specific Transmission Fluids to get the fuel efficency proper shifting. GM Dexron III can not only prevent proper shifting, but also damage the Transmission. Honda Transmission fluid service is recommended every 30,000 miles with ATF-Z1.

DO NOT FLUSH the transmission, it WILL damage it. Google "Flushing Honda Transmissions" and you will see more about this, Express/Quick Lube places are in the news about that rip off.

Before you take to some transmission shop, recommend you take either to a Honda Dealer or a Aftermarket Shop that works only on Honda/Acura that is ASE Master Tech Certified. THey should have the correct tools and information to properly Diagnosis the problem.

Be warned, a Flashing "D" light often means they are going to have to replace the transmission. If that is the case, I would recommend only the Factory Honda Reman Transmission which comes with a 3yr/36k mile warranty good at any Honda Dealership. Had bad luck recently aftermarket supplied transmission's and they had shorter warranty periods.

Drive Symbol is flashing

Indicates a Transmission problem. If you take it into the dealer, they can put it on the computer to diagnose the problem. Might be a pressure switch. Did it stop flashing after you turned off the CR-V and restart it later?

Hi Caty J!

Yes, this is definitely a problem indication...

Hondas use a flashing D4 light to signal automatic transmission problems. When the
light flashes, the transmission is going into a fail-safe mode, most likely
locked into 2nd gear. This could possibly be caused by a low voltage situation, but that would manifest itself in other ways also, and you haven't indicated other problems. Check the tranny fluid level and add proper fluid if low. If that is not the problem, I would recommend that you have it looked at by a competent Honda technician.
Hope this helps and good luck!
