What the manufacturer suggest. Change to other bands can also change the heat range of the plug. Which can lead to other problems knocking for pre-igntion, Hard starting in cold weather and flow plugs form low of heat range
This is close to imposible, you would need a scan tool to reprogram a need chip code into the computer, now if theres no chip the power locks or the door lock should deactivte the alarm system, if you dont have a door key then you would need to remove the door panel and manualy turn linkake on the lock as if it were the key, but i think the 2000 had a key chip.
the seat heating elements may be partially shorted or drawing excess current, they are controlled by a timed relay in the seat heater control switch, the switch may also cause this, but most common issue is the heater element in the seat cushion in my experience..
Chk. all fuses, there is a fuse for injectors, If no spark at plugs chk ignition fuse and switch, and chk. fuse for e.c.m. Can't help with diagram. Parts dept. chevy dealer will print you one out.
