Question about 2007 Hyundai Getz 1.4

1 Answer

Why is there no audio coming from my car stereo, even though all the buttons work and it can change functions?

The stereo will turn on, you can change the radio station, adjust the volume and switch mode to AUX, but not one sound comes out of the stereo. I have tried turning it on and off but nothing has changed.

SOURCE: stereo doesn't work after battery changed

it does sound like a fuse problem. make sure the fuse you replaced did not blow again. the radio will have two fuses for it , one ignition fuse to make it work and a permanaent supply fuse to keep the memory when you turn the car off. i would check all the fuses, even tho they look good they could still be blown. best way to check them is to turn the ignition on and with a 12 volt tester go across both sides of the fuse, the tester should work across both sides, if it only works one side it heas blown. just a thought in regards to the battery change make sure all the cables have been put on correctly, none left or on wrong side. hope this helps.

After verifying all the connections to the radio are good (power and ground, antenna, speakers, etc), the audio unit has an internal malfunction. Solution: Replace the audio unit.

SOURCE: Code P0133-02 (o2 sensor slow

just because you have a slow response code does not mean that you have a bad sensor, the slow response code is just telling you that the fuel system is very slow to respond to fuel delivery changes, this could be caused by many different things it could be as simple as the oil is contaminated with fuel, it could also be a problem with the fuel pressure, could also be a vacuum leak. the fact that you keep getting the same code with different sensors tells me that the problem is not the sensor but the fuel injection system. there is a flow chart for the fuel system and i am afraid you are going to have to have someone run a diag. check on the fuel system.....SORRY

SOURCE: car doesnt want to start.

The starting system consists of:

  • starter motor
  • starter switch, part of the ignition switch
  • starter motor solenoid relay switch
  • starter solenoid
  • starter drive
When you turn your key to start your engine, it just clicks, right? If so, more than likely this is due to a bad battery. Even though your battery may appear to be fully charged, it may have a dead cell, or worse. If you get a jump, does the vehicle start? If so, replace your battery.

Possible sources of the problem if the engine does not crank or the relay clicks:
  1. Battery
  2. Starter motor
  3. Starter motor relay
  4. Ignition switch
  5. Damaged fuse
  6. Anti-theft system
  7. Circuitry

You will probably lose some functionality with an aftermarket radio. There are interface wiring adapters that will allow installation without needing to cut the vehicle's wires (highly recommended) and restore some functions (such as chime notifications) but in all likelihood - not everything. Crutchfield has some good info on what fits / works with different vehicles.

My dash lights and stereo light won't turn on. Fuse maybe?

Most likely the fuse, even though the stereo and dash lights are powered from a different source, the lights in the stereo are connected to the inst pnl circuit with the dash lights (normally).

Being that the check engine light is on, take it to Auto zone or Advance auto parts. They will read your vehicles codes with the obd 2 tester.

My 97 crown victoria died suddenly while driving down the road and won't restart

Is the fuel pump coming on? Turn the key to on position and listen by gas tank for a humming noise for fuel pump. Check the accident fuel shut off switch in the trunk, it should be on driver side in trunk, behind carpet- pad. if the button is up. Push it down to reset.

Stereo not working

Your stereo may have a security code that needs to be entered whenever the radio is disconnecred from the battery. It's an anti-theft device that makes the radio worthless to theives (even though nobody would steal a factory radio but, I digress...).

Have a look through all of the documentation for your van, owners manual, any additional pamphelts, etc. There may be one for the radio that should contain the reset code.

Audio problem

try reseting it by either disconnecting stereo or disconnecting battery of car. If it doesn't work, chances are you need new stereo or to fix old.
