Hit a deer and am replacing the front fender and light assembly. wondering how to remove the light assembly and fender to replace with replacements
SOURCE: 2005 Subaru Outback XT - Real Tail light- bulb replacement
1. Open the rear hatch, and look down towards the bumper, in the direction of the tail light bulb needing replacement.
2. You should see the dark colored plastic trim piece, which is held in place by two small plastic body style philips head screws.
3. These wil only 'loosen' a little bit, you will need to slip a fingernail or some other slim item, underneath the heads of each of the screws, and pull back on them firmly by grasping the body of the screw, not the head (which is flimsy, and can crush if squeezed).
3. remove the plastic trim piece - it can be achieved by lifting out and towards you - set aside.
4. Using a 10mm socket or wrench, unscrew the upper and lower bolts holding the taillight assembly in place.
5. the taillight assembly is now loose - it can pulled rearwards, and will slide off of the small guide slots holding it in place.
6. The bulb is a twist lock style, underneath the tan cap- twist the cap counter-clockwise, and it will pop out. The bulb is a number 7440, for the running light/ brake light, and a 7443 for the turn signal.
a 3757 will not fit through the cut out hole in the taillight assembly.
7. Re-assemble in reverse, making sure to check the function of the bulb PRIOR to re-assembly.
Good Luck.

i'm assuming you don't have a hubshark, this is a tool that will alllow you to remove the bearing while the knuckle is attached to the car,you may be able to rent this tool at a auto prts store .if not you need to remove the entie knuckle, first remove the trailing arm bolt, then the lateral link bolt{long and stubborn bolt},disassemble the brake shoes and parking brake cable, abs sensor if equipped the knuckle to strut bolt{no marking necessary they are not eccentric} then you need a to use or borrow a press to remove hub and bearings good luck
SOURCE: Installing replacement side mirror on 2007 Subaru Forester
yes... you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you can access the bolts holding the mirror on and disconnect the wiring harness as well..

ABS is anti lock braking system, which helps to stop car in various conditions.Wet/slippery etc
Sensors are located on all brakes
You need to go to your local auto electrician who will plug in scanner to locate fault
