SOURCE: 2005 GMC Envoy 4wd 4.2liter V6 check engine light is on.

The check valve is #12619128 and the gasket is #24577193. I think $65 and $75 respectively you can try websites like parts4chevy.com and gmpartsdirect.com.
your talking about the diverter valve for the AIR pump. In which case it is easy to do and its easily accesible in the engine bay. The valve is located at the passenger side by the transmission dipstick tube under the intake tube. Good luck

SOURCE: How do I change a water pump on my 2005 GMC Envoy

Remove belt, center pulley, fan, and three bolts holding pump on. When tightening bolts, find out torque spec first, those little bolts will not take much.

My 2006 gmc envoy is having problems with the four wheel drive...when its in 4wd and I turn right or left..its like the brakes are locking up or something is preventing my truck from moving....does anyone...

never use 4wd on dry pavement even just wet pavement can cause this. 4wd is for only snowy or slippery conditions

unless this is automatic 4wd or awd than u have a problem id suggest you find a forum for youre vehicle and post it there find one by googleing gmc envoy forums or chevy trailblazer forums as they are the same thing

Noise in intake manifold 2006 envoy

A few generic ideas come to mind:

loose/worn choke plate hinges
worn/sticking choke plate seat
sticking throttle linkage in need of lubrication
leaking intake hose - causing hissing as air gets sucked in through the leak
loose intake manifold body - check tightness of bolts

For more specific ideas:
In 2006 GMC manufactured the Envoy in both 2WD and 4WD versions:
with available engines:
6 Cylinders S 4.2L SFI DOHC
8 Cylinders M 5.3L SFI OHV

2-04-21-006E: Inoperative 4WD/AWD Lamps, Inoperative 4WD/AWD System, DTC C0550 Set No Communication with TCCM (Reprogram Transfer Case Control Module) - (Jul 20, 2006)

This bulletin is being revised to add Subject information and change the labor operation. This bulletin cancels and supersedes Bulletin Number 03-04-21-006. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Numbers 02-04-21-006D and 03-04-21-006 (Section 04 -- Driveline/Axle).
ConditionSome customers may comment that the 4WD/AWD indicator lights on the selector switch do not work, or the 4WD/AWD system may be inoperative and/or the service 4WD light is illuminated. The condition is typically intermittent and always occurs at key-up. Upon investigation, the technician may find DTC C0550 set.
CauseThe Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) has not received the wake-up call during key-up and has remained in the "sleep mode".
When the TCCM is in the "sleep mode", it will not communicate with the class II bus or the Tech 2®.
Correction
  1. Try to communicate with the TCCM. If no communication, go to step 2. If communication is possible, go to step 5.
  2. Remove the underhood (ATCM or TREC) TCCM fuse.
  3. Wait 30 seconds.
  4. Reinstall the fuse. The module should "wake up" and communicate with the Tech 2®.
  5. Check for codes in the TCCM. If a C0550 is found current or in history with or without other codes, replace the module and go to step 6.
  6. Reprogram the TCCM with the latest TIS software using normal SPS procedures.
  7. Verify operation and that no codes are present.
Important: For the 2002 model year, the TCCM must be replaced and reprogrammed.

I have a 2004 GMC Envoy XL and the high range 4x4 mode will not engage. The AWD system works just fine as well as the 4x4 mode in low gear. What is causing this?

Is the Service 4WD light coming on? Do the light on the 4x4 selector switch indicate the proper selection and are on steady after a few seconds? If there is no Service 4WD light on and the selector switch light are correct, the only place for the problem to be is the Transfer Case. Has the Transfer Case fluid been changed at 50K mile intervals? This is very important.

My 4 wheel drive selection switch lite does not work. Does the 4 wheel drive system still work properly?, or is it an indication that something is wrong?

Drive to a dirt or gravel surface and push the 4wd button. Take off fast enough to spin the tires. If only the back tires spin, then 4wd is not working.

When i put my car on 4wd hi when turning it makes noise

This is normal if you are driving on dry pavement. Your 4wd should only be used on loose gravel or snow. Google " 4wd torque bind"
