Ok first is the message center saying that all doors are open if you have this feature , or is it just that the light is staying on and you don't know which door is doing it, I will go with the later if you have door pins that control the lights/door ajar one is broken/ or the actual door lock striker that's bolted to the frame is loose at the lock to check push in on the door/s if they move inwards even a little bit the ground for the interior light is open and this turns on the light/alarm and will stay on until this is fixed //if all doors are good and strikers are tight and adjusted properly holding the door/s in then there are 1 wire connectors on each door latch lock assembly that either corrosion has stopped the electrical contact or it fell off the tab from looseness or the wire has completely broken off/this also applies to the door pins that I mentioned earlier if it applies no year, make, model of vehicle given inquestion? If you check all mentioned here and they are all connected clean and tight the interior light part of your light switch broke inside and the lights staying on // if it was a relay they control accessories inside and the locks would be cycling as well as the power windows /// for door pins unbolt it and pull out each connector and close the door the light will go out when you have the right one and leave it that way till you can get a new one or a junkyard replacement
hi ya it seems one of the door switches is broken or disengaged on each door frame you will find a push in switch witch operates the interior light, door warning light on dash and remote locking if one of them is not working it will show on dash as a door not closed it will prevent the interior light from working and also stop the auto locking system from working properly the locking system is connected to the interior lights
Hope yhis helps
INSIDE THE DOOR LATCH(WHERE DOOR CLOSES ON STRIKER)ARE THE DOOR ADJAR SWITCHES.SIMETIMES THEY WILL FREE UP IF U SQUIRT THEM W/ WD40.DO THAT TO EVERY DOOR AND SEE IF THAT HELPS.
i actually had this same problem. I took the fuse out and had no interior lights for awhile till i tried a fuse with a lower amp in it, now it works great!
