go to ford fleet owners.com and download your owners manual then go to roadside emergencies and your fuse box and power distribution box diagrams are there with the relays and circuit breakers locations there are 2 kinds of a relay for this 1 is a cut out relay go to rock auto.com and look up your truck and the parts it's easier when you know what things look like ,now please tell me what is wrong obviously its not running but did you check all the fuses and did you try to spray gas /injection cleaner in the throttle body and it runs and dies ,if so the idle air control valve may be bad to you hear the fuel pump energize when you turn the key on , also if you do hear it change the gas filter it could be clogged up , also throttle body is very dirty from poor quality fuel?, check spark plug gaps to much air equals no spark/explosion in the cylinders, use a volt meter to check plugs for power let me know what's going on also check inertia shut off switch some one could've hit you hard enough parking to activate it and shut off the fuel pump good luck stephen post back!
check all fuses under left dash if that doesn't work check to c if you are getting power on the injector plugs if you are getting power then go to a junk yard and get a throttle body
Yes, there is a Fuel Pump Relay. The Relay is located on the firewall just above the left-hand (even cyclinders) valve cover as viewed from the front of the car. There is also fuel pump test lead attached to the harness at the fuel pump relay. Attach a power wire from the battery to the lead and the fuel pump should come on. If fuel pump comes on, the relay could be bad. Also check the fuel filter located under the passenger side of the truck tucked into the frame rail.
The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank itself. Remove the back seat and if you are lucky you can see the pump and remove it. Else you have to remove the gas tank from the car body then you can see and remove the pump. make sure you empty the tank before removing the gas tank.
Fuses first. Then, disconnect the fuel line at the throttle body (unless there is a fuel pressure testing port) and see if there is fuel when you turn on the key. If not, fuel pump, probably in tank. (assuming there isn't one on the side of the engine..) If there IS fuel in the line, then the computer may not be engaging the injectors. Check for wiring issues on something that old. Maybe the main junction splice for power to the computer. (Not sure where on that one, sometimes it's in a dumb place, like near the battery and it gets corroded).
try replacing your relay first not that expensive and easy to change also some models have a red jumper wire on the relay plug that sends power directly to pump
I would check the fuel lines themselves and make sure there is no blockage. If not you might want to check your fuel injectors and see if they need to be replaced. also make sure you didnt install fuel filter backwards.
