Hi, I had put 2,000 dollars into my daughters car that we bought her used( put under 10,000 miles on) and now my non Infiniti dealer garage is telling me to get rid of it because of rust/decay. It's not a Sandy car. They say to take off a bolt to fix 1 thing will most likely break and it will be never ending. Also, burning oil, refill at 1,500 miles as it gets BONE DRY!
Painting of primer paint on a small bolt i think it doesnt costs a lot, thats how to prevent the rusting of metal(of course brush it well first with an still brush before applying paint on it after you put in it1s proper place and tightened or find an stainless bolt that exactly same as the old one to replace it,mostly stainless steel are best in durability and it is very hard. regarding on drying of oil, check your under chassis(the engine itself) if there are traces of oil around the engine if it is leaking, that is the cause of rapid drying of engine oil.if it has a leak,it`s better to leave to the engine mechanics to replace or re-tighten all the bolts.or they were going to put a new repair kit(oil seals and packings).

SOURCE: How to program 2002 i35 infiniti keyless remote?
The procedure goes like this. First get in the car and lock all the doors. Secondly insert and remove the key repeatedly until the turn signal indicators on the dash flash twice simultaneously, it should be like seven or eight times. Then turn the key on and press the lock button on the remote and the lights should flash again. After that turn the key off and manually unlock and open the drivers door, then shut it. Wait a few seconds then try the remote.
SOURCE: When is a good time to replace the timing belt/chain on I35
I35's do not have timing belts. They have timing chains and do not need to be replaced. The only Infiniti vehicles with timing belts are the J30 and the QX4. So whoever told you that you had a belt doesn't know what they are talking about.
SOURCE: Sooty exhaust and excessive oil consumption?
2006 C4S Tip, 26,000 miles Now in Porsche dealership having the engine stripped. They are suggesting that one of the pistons is starting to fail. Their diagnostic equipment shows no fault codes but further testing has shown that one bank is having to work harder than the other side. Their prognosis is a new engine. Do not let your warranty expire!!! Also see here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=48&t=731645&mid=154532&i=0&nmt=OPC - Does this sound odd to you?&mid=154532
SOURCE: Paint problem on 2009 infiniti G37
This is spotting from the plastic they use to protect the paint!!! Ha when they apply the plastic it sometimes has air trapped under plastic a bit like a bubble under tape, the sun bakes the gases out of the plastic and it stains the darker painted cars. Good luck and tell them this when they try to blow u off.
