SOURCE: where is the in cab air filter located in my 2003

Wow, that's a great question, as I researched it, I found listings of cabin air filters at some parts suppliers, but could find no reference to location or info in the original owners manual. So, what I found is that it was a dealer add on option, not standard equipment or a factory available item. If you have the dealer add on, it should be located under the dash glove box, but you most likely don't have it. The kit # if you want to add it is the following Ford part #, but it may not be available, and check w/ Ford to make sure it will fit your year, model, as I got this # off the internet, and haven't checked it at the Ford website:F65Z-18D477-AA. Good luck!

On a 2006 1.3 Rocam. After a broken heater hose, the engine overheated, and I didn't notice until the bakkie lost power. I replaced the head gasket, with no success. The engine still overheated.

Have you checked to see if your fan is working ?
After performing your repairs, did you bleed the coolant system ? One way is to run vehicle with heaters running to make sure that air in the heater core / hoses is bleed.

How do you change the fuel filter on a 96 Olds Cutlass Supreme 4 door 3.1 V6? Vin#1G3WH52M8TF372414

Hi,

Fuel filters are easy to replace but let me give you some friendly warnings:

CAUTION. To reducethe risk of fire and personal injury always follow the correct procedure for disconnecting and connecting fuel pipe quick connect fittings. This will ensure good connections and prevent possible fuel leaks.

CAUTION. Safety glasses must be worn if you use compressed air, as flying dirt prticles may cause eye injury.

Important

The fuel filter is no longer serviced in regular maintenande intervals. It is only necessary to replace the fuel filter in the case of damage or a clogged filter.

Before replacing a fuel filter it is necessary to relieve fuel system pressure.

Your fuel filter is located under the vehicle, driver side, below seating area, front of fuel tank, mounted on frame rail in fuel line

Fuel filters and elements are serviced by replacement only. Some vehicle manufacturers recommend fuel filter replacement at 30,000 miles (48,000 km). Always replace the fuel filter at the vehicle manufacturer's recommended mileage.

The fuel filter replacement procedure varies depending on the make and year of the vehicle and the type of fuel system. Always follow the filter replacement procedure in the appropriate service manual. The photo sequence below shows a typical procedure for relieving fuel pressure and removing a fuel filter.

Removing a Fuel Filter on an EFI Vehicle

fps23-02.jpg Loosen the fuel tank filler cap to relieve any fuel tank vapor pressure.

fps23-03.jpg Wrap a shop towel around the Schrader valve on the fuel rail and remove the dust cap from the valve.

fps23-04.jpg Connect the fuel pressure gauge to the Schrader valve.

fps23-05.jpg Install the free end of the gauge bleed hose into an approved gasoline container, and open the gauge bleed valve to relieve the fuel pressure.

fps23-06.jpg Place the vehicle on the hoist and position the lift arms according to manufacturer's recommendations. Then raise the vehicle.

fps23-07.jpg Flush the fuel filter line connectors with water, and use compressed air to blow debris off and away from the connectors.

fps23-08.jpg Follow the recommended procedures for disconnecting the fuel inlet connector.

Follow the recommended procedures for disconnecting the fuel outlet connector, then remove the fuel filter.

Installing Fuel Filters
In-line fuel filters are installed in the fuel line. In carbureted engines, the in-line gasoline filter is usually installed between the fuel pump and the carburetor. In vehicles with a fuel injection system, the location of the fuel filter is determined by the manufacturer. An arrow on the filter shows the direction of fuel flow.
  • To install a new filter, begin by wiping the male tube ends of the new filter with a clean shop towel.
  • Apply a few drops of clean engine oil to the male tube ends on the filter.
  • Check the quick connectors to be sure the large collar on each connector has rotated back to the original position. The springs must be visible on the inside diameter of each quick connector.
  • Then install the filter in the proper direction and leave the mounting bolt slightly loose.
  • Install the outlet connector onto the filter outlet tube and press the connector firmly in place until the spring snaps into position.
  • Grasp the fuel line and try to pull this line from the filter to be sure the quick connector is locked in place.
  • Then, do the same with the inlet connector.
  • Now tighten the filter retaining bolt to the specified torque.
  • Once everything is connected, lower the vehicle, start the engine, and check for fuel leaks at the filter.
Have fun and all the best

Clutch repair 2005 VW Chico

You need to empty the engine from all fluids, tehn remove air filter and other parts, mount your Golf on a bridge and remove the clutch pressure plate assembly mounted on a side of the engine.

You will need special tools to align and mount the new pressure plate, and you will need to follow a procedure to reinstall the clutch without removing the transaxle.

Replacing the clutch is not an easy task for a beginner, if you do it yourself, get the haynes manual with the complete illustrated procedure.

After replacing you will have to adjust the clutch. See CLUTCH REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES.

Jaguar 2002 s type Cabin air filter - engine air intake filter

I'm not sure what the cabin filter is but the air filter is straight forward. With the hood open you should see the air box just inside on the right with the large induction hose going across and to the engine. The top of the air box should open with a couple of hooks or clamps and the air filter sits on top inside the open box.
