Is it a scraping noise or a clicking noise. a scraping noise could indicate a brake noise when turning have the brakes checked in the front. if its a clicking noise only when turning to the right then you may have a bad cv joint on the right half shaft. replace the half shaft assembly.

SOURCE: My 2001 PT Cruiser ignition switch will not turn.

was the ignition switch getting hard to turn with the key for a while or did this just all of a sudden happen usually the problem has been going of for a while but people just ignore it until it gets to this point,it sounds like the tumblers in the ignition key switch have gone bad and the tumbler assembly needs to be replaced, the new tumbler assembly can keyed to the original key if the key is not worn out.this should be replaced with a new key if it is.

Where is the interior fuse box? It's not on drivers side under steering wheel

Hi Robbie,
There is No Interior Fuse Box on the 2006 PT Cruiser.
  • All of the fuses are on the box under the hood on the right side just behind the air filter housing.
  • You have to press the tabs to remove the fuse box cover.
Good Luck,
JP

Hi, I have a chrysler pt cruiser 1991, it is making a loud throaty noise as I go up in gears, it's not the exhaust.

HI" does this noise go away when you step on the clutch pedal and does this noise gets louder as you go faster, try turning the steering wheel a little see if noise goes away that would indicate bad wheel bearing

A banging noise when going over bumps? I'd guess the lower control arm bushings are worn. This is relatively common, and would exhibit this symptom.
