We have a 2004 Honda Civic that makes a roaring noise the faster the car goes - doesn't affect the performance of the car.

Where does the "roaring" sound like it is coming from? Can you feel any vibrations anywhere in the car? Under the seat? At your feet?

SOURCE: roaring noise front end

it sounds like a bad hub bearing

try raising the front end off of the ground and spin the tires by hand and feel for roughness in the hubs

SOURCE: My 2002 honda civic has a steady clicking noise

sounds like rockers need adjustment or timing belt or even the timing belt has split and frayed causing a slapping noise on the engine components as upon acceleration will cause such a noise happened to me a few times before as well ..open hood and visually inspect ....then start engine if nothing is seen and locate the source of noise this way just keep your hands etc away from moving parts

SOURCE: Honda civic 2004: the car alarm (factory

This may sound really dumb but have you tried shutting the alarm off with the remote before turning the key? I am sorta wondering if your key is worn out and the alarm system reads it like someone putting a screw driver in there to unlock it. Just a thought. I am guessing here so please be gentle on me. SOURCE: 2004 honda odyssey making whistle noise

I know this original question was written quite a few months back but I was wondering if you ever found out what the high pitch sound was. I just purchased a used 2005 Honda Odyssey and it is doing the exact same thing. Any advice?

Right front makes rumbling sound

Need a bit more information. Under what conditions does the noise occur? While driving? While braking? Both? Does it get louder the faster you drive? Does the noise only happen when turning? Going straight? Both? Etc.

My thoughts: if your "rumbling" is more of a "grinding" or "roaring," I'd lean more toward a wheel bearing going bad. If that is the case, the part # for it should be 44300-S5A-008, however, this is a press-in type of bearing and you will need equipment or a shop who can do that for you if you don't know how. AND, if this happens to be the issue, hit up a website like hondahondaparts.com where they sell the parts cheaper than what you get them from the dealer for.

03 civic heat doesn't work unless driving

no that is a water pump or a stuck thermostat. see when you are driving the coolant is going through the system which means the faster you go the faster the water pump goes and more pressure on the thermostat. you have a stuck thermostat

2004 Mazda MPV makes loud sound when driving faster than about 60 km/hr

There is no way to estimate cost until you know the exact case of the noise. See the dealer for a test drive so a tech can listen to it.

Roaring noise when car idleing

Quite possibly the air conditioning compressor clutch bearing. I've seen a couple of these go bad now. Have the belt removed and see if the noise goes away.
