SOURCE: replace air filter 2002 Chrysler Sebring convertible
you need to loosen the clamp on the throttle body and unplug the map sensor then there are two clips on the other end pull that out and you should be able to pull the filter out you don't need to take the box off.
SOURCE: 2004 chrysler sebring oil leak
The solenoid blocks are known to leak. You will need to access this under the hood. The cooling lines well need removed from the trans, disconnect the input speed sensor, and remove it using a 1" deepwell socket. Remove the plug on the solenoid block, using an 8mm socket. You will see 3 tenmm bolts on the top of the Sol block. Remove these bolts, then gently pry the sol block off the trans. Using a scraper, remove all old gasket material from the trans case, be careful not to damage it, then thoroughly clean the mounting surface. Install the new Sol Block, with a new gasket, and torque to factory specs, re-install the input speed sensor (torque to spec), install the cooling lines, and reconnect the Sol Block 8mm screw, be sure to TORQUE all to factory spec, failure to do this could result in you damaging the new Sol block, or trans.Make sure to check the fluid level after the repair is complete, and you should have the TCM reset as well. It is fairly labor intensive, and for a first-timer, it will probably take you about 2-3 hrs to do this, provided you have the proper tools. Good luck.

Should be located close to the oil filter. It will screw in like a spark plug. It has a harness plug. Easy to change, save yourself $70 in labor. You will need a fairly large wrench to remove
SOURCE: 2004 chrysler sebring idle speed is too slow. HOw
why do you want your rpms higher while idling? you don't want them high because your gas bill will reflect that. slow shouldn't matter but if it's dying while on idle it could either be your mass air flow sensor or your fuel filter being clogged
SOURCE: Where is the fuel filter located on a 2004 Chrysler Sebring Sedan
Some of the Sebrings have two filters(one is called a sock). The sock(which all sebrings have) is located in the fuel tank itself on the pump module. If this model is the JXI then the external filter is located on the belly of the car between the tank and drivers rear seat. I hope I could help!!!
