the oil light means low oil pressure, it is best to find out why the light is on and fix it, or two hours can destroy the engine.
It may be a simple problem, like you need a bit more oil, or the sender is broken,
i have a clio, had same problem too. its the head gasket. when this breaks or cracks it allows water into parts of the engine it should not, and therefore the water starts to mix with the oil forming this 'light brown gunge' the problem is that when driving with a damaged head gasket you will damage the head of the engine too which is why this is reoccuring. your best bet is to take apart the engine, clean it out, buy a new head gasket and then get the head of your engine skimmed. this could solve the problem depending on how damaged your head is.
check ur oil and see if milkey gray or white in color if so u have bad engine problems the least a head gasket blown the worst the head is cracked and or warped,,, replace every thing to do with cooling when repaired,u dont know what caused it.
Check transmision oil level, Place car in park, hand break, open motor compartment and check transmision oil level with motor on idle. Good level?: transmision is bad, repare or replace the whole unit. bad level: complete and check for leakeges.
oil in the coolant generally indicates a blown head gasket. If the head gasket is blown, oil and coolant could be getting into the cylinders. You should have a mechanic check it out. I don't know a whole lot about dianosinng diesels. If you can get the glow plugs out, turn it over and see it any water or oil blows out of the holes.
