AC does not stay on. sts light stays on, cannot put my top down because it says boot is not attached to the hooks inside the trunk
There should be a fuse chart located with your vehicles tool kit. In order for the top to function, the partition cover located in the trunk does need to closed. The micro switch for that is located on the right side where the slide cover guide is located. The hard top light will also blink fast when the partition cover is not in place. If the light blinks slowly then there is a fault in the system. By the concerns listed it sounds as if the vehicle may have a partially dead or low battery voltage. If that is the case then you can start the vehicle and push the suspension button to raise the vehicle. That should clear the warning on the cluster. The a/c blower motor will shut off if vehicle battery voltage is low and will remain off until the battery control module see a stable battery voltage for a certain amount of time. Once battery voltage is stable, the a/c should start working again, same goes for the hard top. The instrument clusters used to show a message saying 'consumers offline' but Mercedes got rid of that message after a couple years. If it looks like more then just a low battery issue then i recommend taking it to a service facility asap as you don't want to damage the hydraulic suspension pump by driving the vehicle around.
SOURCE: was pulling fuses and now the wipers dont work on my C240
hi,first bring your battery to battery shop, test or charge the battery, then install, check the alternator changing rate,if ok then try to fine out which consumer is consume the battery with out switching, also check the bulb or connection of trunk lightty,
SOURCE: clk top will not go back up seems dead..all fuses checked
It is normal for the roll bar to rise when top is down. It seems like the rear valance cover is not secured and the soft op does not understand what position it is in. There is a way to manually close top. it is stated in your owners manual. also I would try to close top with button(assuming your vehicle will start and the battery has good voltage) start car and try to operate top down and try pushing on rear cover also make sure the retractable cover in trunk is extended to compress operation switch

Near the battery. However if you are saying no sparks then check the induction coil which generate these sparks..........sodeep
SOURCE: top on clk430 wont go up or down
Disconnect the battery and leave for a few hours before reconecting. This should reset the switch.

If you have the hood up stand outside while someone activates your air off and on and see if the clutch on the compressor goes on and off while they activate the switch. If that isn't it the it could be improperly charged system or your climate control door that opens and closes for hot or air is not working properly and only stays on heat.
