Yes, you will need to flush the entire brake system and change the master cylinder. The power steering fluid has eaten the seals inside of the master cylinder and if it is not removed from the system it will take out your wheel cylinders and caliper seals.
Ford has special bleeding and blocking instructions for clutch slave. Check manual for proper bleeding requirements. May consider presurre bleeding of master cylinder or use master cyclinder bleeding tubes that fill the resevoir as you bleed the and remove all air in system.
sounds like a broken brake line or a brake master cylinder problem. the master cylinder has a resevoir ontop were you add brake fluid. Does your brake pedal feel spongy? if so sounds like your master cylinder needs to be replaced.
possible bad slave cylinder on transmission, you do have a hydraulic clutch, have you checked the fluid in it? it might be your problem. hope i helped!!
Check the vacuum booster first Shut the car off after it idles for 3 minutes Apply your foot on the brake and hold If the pedal seems hard at first and did not go down all the way keep your foot on it for two more minutes If the pedal gradually goes down to the floor the brake booster is leaking If not start the car and let idle again \With the car still idling step on the brake pedal again and hold If the pedal goes to the floor in a second the master is shot instead
This sounds like your Kia's clutch master cylinder may be faulty. First, check to make sure it has enough fluid. If all looks well there, this may be a case of a faulty master cylinder. The clutch master cylinder will act much the same way as a brake master cylinder when it fails. Simply, the pedal will begin to 'sink' as what's happening in your case.
You should be able to locate this unit on or near the firewall, but I'm not exactly sure where it is on your vehicle. It'll be a smaller version of your brake master cylinder, and is usually located pretty close to it.
After locating it, if it looks to be low on fluid or empty, check around it for leaks to make sure the fluid lines aren't leaking, the resevoir isn't leaking, etc. If they are, you'll need to make any necessary repairs, refill the resevoir with fluid, and then bleed the master cylinder.
I hope this at least gives you some insight into some things to check! :) Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
There will be a little black resevoir to the right of the brake master cylinder. Its mounted to the firewall. When filling or topping off the fluid, make sure you remove the black rubber boot after the cap is removed. The resevoir itself will only hold a little fluid. Hope this helps you. Please leave response if you could. :)
The master cylinder is directly underneath the fluid resevoir. The Resevoir mounts to the master cylinder. If you would like an image enter "2001 BMW 325 master cylinder" into a search engine, under the image option.
