SOURCE: Ford explorer stuck in low 4wheel drive
put it back into 2 wheel drive, then reverse 10 or 15 feet, this should unlock the hubs.
SOURCE: 2001 ford explorer sport trac 4 wheel drive wont work
Start the car
put in " N"
turn the 4X4 switch on
Then put in gear..
What do you see now?
Do the same in reverse when you take out of 4X4
SOURCE: How do I replace a water pump on a ford probe
this is amazing how is it possible for this guy name steve to give ppl advice on how to replace water pump on a probe here. read what he said carefully "drain coolant system..remove belt...remove all bolts..careful to not strip them, rotate removal off screws have a new gasket ready to but on new one and do the reverse..after installing i'd put into a can of pump lubricant and then a 50/50 mix of antifreeze..you can but it premixed." even a crackhead can tell you that much, the best advise here is the one boydlawnmowr has said here" i have a 95 ford probe gt, and i replaced my water pump myself. my advice to you is, if you are not a mechanic that has a carlift, metric tools, small hands, and no time frame, i would pay someone to do it for you. i will not do mine again, but if i had to i would pull the motor out and do it. if i hadnt of got my hands on a master mech. serving books, im not sure if i would have ever got the job done." its very time consuming and if you dont have the proper tools to do this you are looking to just get trapped because here is what ppl dont tell you the crankdshaft pulley has to come off the timing chain has to come last but not least the motor mount has to be removed and low jack needs to be used to lift engine up and down as needed to have aproper leverage for water pump removal. so you can imagine its no joke its crazy how this is incorporated deep under the hood

Check for vaccum at the front wheel hub assemblies. If vaccum is present check the orings in the hubs.
