I need advice on installing a new fuel pump 1992 Isuzu Rodeo

Running the fuel pump with no fuel will damage the pump. Any time a repair requires this much work, always warrants the use of new parts.

The roll over safety switch may have to be reset. It is in series with fuel pump relay interlock circuit.

You can not diagnose or resolve anything by changing parts

You need wiring diagrams of the circuit your having issues with,
to follow a logical path to success

Only knowing the system & proper testing will find the cause of
the pump not running,etc

I have a 1992 Isuzu Rodio 3.1 injectors not working; but if i put gas in the throttle body it will start up and run. but while driving it down the street it will die and not re-start, until i put gas in the throttle body. the nod light does not work when it wont start. please can you help me with this problem, i have put a new fuel pump in it and two new injectors.

check ground under car behind fuel tank its grounded on the frame make sure it getting good connection,fuel pump relay is bad or bad wire from pump to fuse box.

Underhood fuse block swap out relay #7 thats the ECM relay.
Ground Circuits Using a DVOM, touch negative voltmeter lead to a good ground. Touch positive voltmeter lead to each ground terminal. With vehicle running, voltmeter should indicate less than one volt. If reading is greater than one volt, check for open, corrosion and loose connection on ground lead. See ECM GROUND LOCATION table for ECM ground location.

I have a isuzu rodeo, i dropped tail gate removed carpet, i then located fuel pump from under truck, i took a jig saw and cut an opening through deck fuel pump is located on top of tank, it sounds messy but you can save a lot of money and time, after replacing pump silicone piece back in

Look on passenger side frame rail ahead of the rear wheel in a bracket with a fuel line on each end. Before starting replacement-- be sure to release pressure from fuel lines, by removing fuel pump fuse under hood and running engine to use gas from lines. I then remove fuel lines by moving clamps away from fitting so hose can be pulled loose from old filter while it is still in bracket. On top of mounting is a bolt that holds filter clamp in place . After removing clamp and filter from mounting bracket, loosen filter body clamp and slip oout old filter-- then in with the new filter. Then reverse your steps to install filter. After filter is back in place -- reinstall fuel pump fuse, turn on key for a few seconds for gas to refill lines, then start engine and check your installation to make sure you have no fuel leaks at line connections.

fuel pump is in gas tank. hope this helps
