Check the rods are not bent at transfer case try putting it into gear with a shifter from underneath ,if no go must be internal also try backing up if possible.

The light is flashing because there is a problem in the system controls for the 4 wheel drive. You now need to have the control module scanned for fault codes and the correct diagnostics performed for the codes received to repair the problem.

According to my service manual there are 2 their part nos are 9f472 and 9g444. According to manual they are called heated oxygen sensors makes it easier to find them. There is 1 near the engine on the pipe exiting the exhaust manifold and the second behind the muffler. I hope this helps.
