you will have to have the key programmed to the different immobilizer and the immobilizer programmed to the ECM

You will have to go to the dealer to get new keys and remotes with the microchip and have it programmed and cut there. VW keys are as you know not like typical auto keys that have teeth and as such they have to be cut with special equipment. Your car will also have an immobilizer that requires a code from the microchip in the key or a key fob remote to disable the immobilizer and this is something that has to be done at the dealership as there are very few locksmiths that handle this. Rough cost estimate is $300 per key with remote and work done.

You will need an immobilizer because the vehicle is trying to start but your key won't be in the ignition. If you key has a chip in it, then you will need an immobilizer.

It has to come from the same year Neon with the same engine. You may have to do some programming for things like remote options or they probably won't work. Hope this helps.

did you disconnect battery first

if you turned the key with the ignition with the imobilizer, you now have to get the right ignition and a new PCM because the PCM now thinks the car has SKIM (imobilizer)

This is what i found but you need one fob.

here is another way if you can get it done( i bevlieve) There is a box under the dash of your can it says keyless entry if you have the right box and the fab just plug and play.

Make sure you get the screws in the defrost vent there is some screws and then it there is snaps

yes remove the immobilizer unit and then start, then reset the immobilizer unit and connect it back and check if it is working..........
