S-10 stalls when put in gear

SOURCE: blazer cranks and idles fine

Could be alot of things. For starters i would look at the tcc solenoid. It should be located on the side of your tranny. If you unplug this and it goes into gear and runs fine then you found your problem. If this solenoid goes bad it prevents your tranny from downshifting and staying in a higher gear.

Transmission suddenly stopped shifting. It works in 1-2nd &R. Was working fine then would not go forward and would stall the engine. It was like the wheels locked up going forward only, reverse was...

The transmission solenoids are not working properly. Probably requires a transmission rebuild.
I don't think it's in the ground strap or wiring.
It's an internal problem with the transmission.

first try so SPT gas teatment may sure you have a half tank of gas and then put in a little more of gas if this help change the fuel filter also check the vaccum lines and make sure they are all on and in and good conditon and also checkout the intake manifold for leaks

Will not run in forward gears

its a common issue that once the low forward band in ford transmissions wear out that it will engage first and 2nd at the same time. of course this is not mechanically possible and the car stalls out.

your fix is to replace the transmission

CAR CUTS OFF WHEN PUT IN GEAR

if it is standerd then it is most likely your lutch try to keep your r.p.ms at the owest point you can before shifting if it is automatic it could be the pressure plate but im not an expert with automatics{yet again the change them so often that nobody really is}
