SOURCE: serpentine belt diagram for a dodge durango 1999
the routing diagram should be on top of the frame crossmember that the fan shroud and radiator fastens to. its a sticker that shows routing with either ac, or no ac. if your durango has a magnum v-8 be sure to double check how you route your new belt because your water pump is reverse flowing and a wrong routing can cause your engine to overheat
SOURCE: serpentine belt keeps popping off
check #1 engine main pulley is all the way in and tight
#2 belt align? ok , no , check carefully the serpintin is centered in all pulleys, and do not miss the water pump pulley, runs on the inside the bold and outer surface of belt (serpertine), there is a drawing at the engine bay

The alternator and power steering belt should have been removed first, but here is the way to get it off. The belt, the idler is adjustable - loosen locknut on the small pulley above the alternator, at top left of alternator, The bolt on the outside of pulley, behind the pulley top left, is an adjuster bolt, turn til you can slide belt off easily; hoped this helped

You didn't mention the alternator, power steering pump, or water pump. In fact, any pulley other than the crankshaft one can have a bad bearing or dry seal. Remove the belt and spin each pulley while listening for any rough noise or squeal. If it was the crankshaft, it might be time to check the oil. Start the engine with the belt off to see if it does squeal. Make sure the noise isn't coming from the radiator fan(s).

There should be a routing diagram under the hood somewhere. But in case it is missing, here is the routing diagram. Same for all engines that year.
