Air Conditioning blows on 4 but not 1,2, or 3. I was told there is a resistor to replace but where is it? Also do the filters need replacing?

Sounds like your blower motor is on its way out, need to replace it...

is the cabin air filter plugged up and it's not getting any air to blow?

1. Check the air conditioner fuse and replace as necessary.
2. Air conditioner system discharged. Have the system evacuated, charged and leak tested by an MVAC certified technician, utilizing approved recovery/recycling equipment. Repair as necessary.
3. Air conditioner low pressure switch defective. Replace switch.
4. Air conditioner fan resistor pack defective. Replace resistor pack.
5. Loose connection, broken wiring or defective air conditioner relay in air conditioning electrical circuit. Repair wiring or replace relay as necessary.

CHECK THE BLOWER RESISTOR AND THE CONNECTOR. THEY TEND TO BURN TOGETHER.

THE RESISTOR IS NEAR THE BLOWER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE TRUCK.

A DEALERSHIP USUALLY CARRIES BOTH PARTS AS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM.

The blower motor has too high off resistance,this why resistor keeps blowing.

Sorry for the delayed response. For future reference, the blower motor resistor in an 04' Honda Accord is located under the glove box and a little to the left if you are facing it (the glove box). You just need to pull out the plastic panel (yes, you can just pull it out by hand, no tools needed for that). It should be right on the fire wall with a plug going into it. If you reach in there and pull the plug (it has a little notch so it clips into the resistor more securely; make sure you push the clip in) it should have 4 flat prongs on it that go into the resistor. The resistor itself will have 2 phillips head screws that are holding it into the fire wall. Unscrew them and you have the resistor. If you can unscrew both screws before unplugging, it will be easier to see how it unplugs. I know this sounds complicated but once you get in there you will notice it's fairly easy to change out.

The air conditioning filter that your manual speaks of is known as a ''cabin filter'', it is much differant then your engine air filter. It filters the incoming air into your vehicles interior. So if someone has told you to replace your ''air filter'' they are more then likely speaking of your ''engine'' air fitler. You should check your engine air filter every oil change. If it shows signs of dirt, then replace it. Hope this helps =)

One suggestion. Have you checked the fuses ?

I would check the AC or blower fuse to start with. If you have the drivers manual it will show you where the fuse box is. Typically there are at least two boxes to check. One in the Engine compartment and one in the passenger cabin.

Look inside the lid of the fuse box to see which fuse may apply to the AC circuits or the blower and check to see if they are blow. the metal link between the two posts that plug in. If the link is missing you need to replace the fuse with one of the same rating. Make sure you know where you took the fuse out from and put it back in the same slot if its good. Check all the main fuses if possible to see if any have blown and replace if they have.

no, did you replace the passenger cabin filter? chance are it is to late...i just found out today it is best to bc it puts pressure on the blower....its in the glove box..
