does it also take a few sec. longer to start. sounds like you could poss have leaky fuel injector/s. another poss. is worn piston rings/ or valve seals. is there a little puff of blue smoke during start up?

before you get into serious troubleshooting with your wallet i would suspect either a clogged fuel filter or a plugged catylitic converter.

SOURCE: Car just stopped (sudden stop) when it's running on the road.

You will need to Change the Fuel Pump and Fuel Filter and Also Check the Belt Tension. If it is even a little loose it will not Charge the Battery and could cause this problem also. Let me know what you find.

Fuel pump

Testimonial: "It's the fuel pump indeed. Also the gas tank found to be very dirty. The fuel pump was replaced, fuel system cleaned, now the car runs perfectly."

It appears the cap screws off? It doesn't look like a regular radiator cap. I looked at acdelco parts book.
If the cap is stubborn, cold engine, sometimes I use a pair of pliers with wide jaws, grip the cap and screw it off. I haven't seen your type cap, before. If this was my vehicle, I would certainly want to look in the radiator. I'd get that cap off, one way or the other. Of course, nobody wants to damage anything.
