These becker radios can be difficult if the wrong codes are entered( i think if u enter 3 times in a row) and it goes into security lock.... if you enter code and it does not work remove radio and get serial number of and call dealer. The way you enter 4 digit code is by entering the number with the station program keys on the top of the face plate ,, then after code is entered you press the * symbol and it should start working. There is a becker web site that can also assist you with radio problems it is www.beckerautosound.com .
hope this solution will solve ur problem

On my 2001 Audi TT on the radio display says phone and I have no radio. What do I do?

If you know someone with VCDS (diagnostic software and adapter), maybe a module is coded wrong, and 'phone' needs to be removed in the coding.

I got an Audi TT Turbo Model 2000 The radio Bose Audi concert is giving safe on the screen and nothing else what should I click on to reset the radio so I can put the code. Thanks

  1. Turn on radio. The radio display shows "SAFE".
  2. Press the FM2 and RDS buttons simultaneously and hold until "1000" shows on the display. Release the buttons. Do NOT press these buttons again, otherwise the radio will consider "1000" to be the code.
  3. Use Preset buttons 1 ... 4 to enter the four-digit code number from your radio card. Preset button 1 corresponds to the first digit, Preset button 2 corresponds to the second digit, etc. Each press of the button increments the number by 1.
  4. Once the code shown on the display is correct, press the FM2 and RDS buttons simultaneously and hold until the word "SAFE" appears in the display, then release the buttons.
  5. The radio should unlock and be usable shortly afterwards.
  6. If an incorrect code is entered, the word "SAFE" appears, first flashing and then continuously. You can repeat the above steps to unlock the radio once more, the number of attempts will be shown in the display. If an incorrect code is entered again, you radio will be locked for about one hour. After one hour - the radio must stay on and the key must remain in the ignition lock - if the display goes out, the you can repeat the above procedure to unlock again. The cycle - two attempts, one hour lock-up - still applies.

Myradio is on safe and cant type code

IMPORTANT NOTE:
You must have the security anti-theft code for your VW radio from the car manufacturer, or from a VW dealer!

You can find the radio code at: http://www.radio-code.co.uk/

The sequence of 2000 Audi TT radio programming is:
1. Push simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys until on the screen will appear "1000" displayed.
2. Release keys. No more push on "SCAN" and "RDS" keys because otherwise number "1000" will be considered as first safe code attempt.
For example: we have the security code "5079". Then:
3. By the no.# 1 key you will set up the first safe code digit. Push 5 times on the no.# 1 button. The "5" number will be setted.
4. By the no.# 2 key you will set up the second safe code digit. Push 10 times on the no.# 2 button. The "0" number will be setted.
5. By the no.# 3 key you will set up the third safe code digit. Push 7 times on the no.# 3 button. The "7" number will be setted.
6. By the no.# 4 key you will set up the four-th safe code digit. Push 9 times on the no.# 4 button. The "9" number will be setted.
7. Then push again simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys for confirm this safe code. On the screen will be displayed "SAFE" notice. Release keys! For few seconds a radio frequence will be displayed.

The radio is now ready for use!

Contact an Audi dealership with your VIN, or look in the trunk area for a 4 digit code on a sticker

My indicators on my audi tt have stopped working

The turn signal actuator is behind the hazard light. You have to remove the radio and the switch will be above the radio area behind the hazard light.

Instructions to unlock stereo

If you don't want to spend the 135, find out the name of the dealer who origonally sold the car when new. They should have the code on file form the pre inspection that they did. It is a myth that there is a code inside the trunk or on the radio, so don't waste your time looking.
