SOURCE: Lower Control Arm Bushing replacement

Hi,
I just did this job on my 98 regal, and I own the service manuals also. The lower control arm bushing that usually goes, is the front one. The rear one doesn't usually go, it is horizontally mounted. The front one for some reason is vertical. The control arm must be removed, and put in a vise. The front bushings outer metal sleeve, must be driven out with a chisel. It comes out easily. The new bushing can be tapped in with a hammer. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Can I install bigger tires on Mitsubishi Outlander?

the 225 is the sidewall size, the height of the side wall. I also have the same vehicle with a low-profile tire, I know there is not a lot of room in there to go much taller if any. I do see where there could be a problem with the computer but it's a computer it should be able to be re calibrated.

SOURCE: mitsubishi outlander cooling fans not operating

There is a Recall to replace your cooling fan module because of this concern.

Open your hood and look at the black box bolted to your radiator fan by the battery. If it does not have a green dot on it, you have not had the replacement fan module installed.

Contact your local dealer with your VIN handy to verify the recall has not been done and to schedule an appointment.

If the recall has been done, verify if you have power coming out of the module to the fans, as the fans do burn out eventually.... but rarely both at once.

Question edited for clarity, MAKER.
Question moved to Category.

Check Fuse 7.

Fuse Box Diagram Mitsubishi Outlander (2014-2019..)

https://fuse-box.info > mitsubishi > mitsubishi-outlander...
2017, 2018, 2019 - The fuse box is located in the instrument panel (on the driver's side) to the left of the steering wheel, behind the cover. A - Main fuse ..

Your mirror isn't quite so easy. It needs the switch tested, and it could also be the servo motors that control movement.

Replace front axle what tools are needed on a 2003 mitsubishi outlander i have a lot of noise from left ft i've had wheel bearing replaced and it's still has a lot of noise at speed when the wheels are...

wrenches. tire tool. hammer , pliers , a jackstand or blocks to support the vehicle. a jack to manipulate the lower control arm . air compressor and air impact wrench and a socket ( metric and usually a special size ) available at Auto zone for rent
which is refundable when you take it back ( so its free )
the sad part is that the driveshaft just pulls out of the transmission, and slips back in with a little effort. all held in place with 1 special nut. the bad part is that this PROCEDURE IS DANGEROUS because removing the lower balljoint lets the TENSION from the strut assembly FREE and can hurt you or even kill you. Please exercise caution. this task can be accomplished with minimal effort and a few tools.

To install:
  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure, noting the following:

Install the thermostat so the jiggle valve is facing straight up. Be careful not to fold or otherwise damage the rubber ring.

Fig. The thermostat-s jiggle valve must be facing up, at the 12 o-clock position during installation
Refer to the fastener tightening specifications shown on the accompanying illustration. During installation of the lower radiator hose connection, insert the hose as far as the projection of the water inlet fitting. Align the matchmarks on the hose and hose clamp, then connect the hose.

Fig. Insert each hose as far as the projection of the water inlet fitting. Make sure to align the matchmarks before connecting the hoses
Fill the engine with the proper type and amount of engine coolant.

Ever since I have had the lower control arm bushings replaced in the rear of my 2004 Mitsubishi Outlander it has had poor control on slippery pavement. The rear feels like it begins to fishtail above 25...

have the rear alignment checked. changing the bushings replaced probably caused your rear tires to have a lean to them, and they're not square with the ground.
