SOURCE: crown victoria window motor replacement

remove the door panel. be very careful and make sure you get all the screws out. Should be maybe 2 on the bottom half of the door, and 2 on the top half. one is right by the handle, which is the one i forgot the first time i took my door pannel off. carefully pull the panel upward, and outward at the same time. Once the panel is off, disconnect the controls, and remove the light from the panel. Remove the plastic cover very carefully, it will tear, just keeps noise, and air, and the elements out.
There will be 3 screws, they are torx bolts, once you pull those 3 out. They are located middle of the door towards the right side. The motor will drop down a little bit. disconnect the wires for the motor, and wiggle the motor off of the regulator. the crown vics have a decent size hole to get into the door panel, you can also remove the speaker if that would help you do it. other than that, it just lining up the new motor into the car, pushing it into the regulator, and putting the 3 bolts in, make sure they are snug, and not cross threaded. put everything back together, and your set.

I have a 2006 ford crown victoria police package model. For some reason my wipers stay running even after I changed out the wiper switch an I checked all relays and fuses. Can anyone help me with this...

The problem a bad ground inside the wiper motor .
To what is called the break witch makes it come to rest fully down when you turn the switch off .
Did you ever notice that if you turn the key off with the wipers on they stop where ever they are on the wind sheild .
Its not really that big of a deal and the wipers will still work you just have to time it when you shout off .
You could also take the motor apart and solider the wire or a new jump wire and it would work again .Or just get a new or used motor its not that hard to replace.

Why isn't my crown victoria 03 wipers won't work, I just put in a new motor and checked the fuses, with a new switch but I still get nothing, it gets around 11.7 volts out of 12 but it still doesn't w

Even new switches can be bad. Also, when connecting the motor, one of the wires could have been bent or pushed out. Check the connections between the motor and the wiper assembly. Make sure the terminals are straight and in place. Doesn't take much to bend one or force it out of the harness.

Windshield wipers do not work on my 2004 crown victoria

It sounds like the wiper switch was going bad and now it has totally failed.

OR, it could be the wiper motor itself is bad.

If you can get to the wires that connect to the wiper motor, see if any power is coming to them when you move the wiper switch to each speed. If not, bad switch. Replace it.

Hi, i have a problem with my 2005 crown victoria windshield wiper not turning off.what could be the cause and solution. thanks

it could be a bad ground, but likely it is internal to the wiper motor. You could take the motor apart and clean the contacts and see if that helps. Try just removing the connector from the wiper motor and cleaning it first.

The washer works but not the wipers.

to check the ground, just run a wire from body of wiper motor to a good metal place on car body. or run wire to negative battery post. make sure the wire is on bare metal to check.

Wipers stay on

Looks like the wiper motor uses G102 as the grounding point, should be close to the fuse box in the engine compartment. If you lift it and it stops then you may have a bad switch in the motor.

Wipier motor burnt out on 05 crown victoria?

Either the motor winding shorted or; the connectors on the motor are loose/corroded causing arcing and overheating or; the linkage is binding putting too much load on the motor.

Sounds like the wiper motor needs replacing.
