sounds like the drivers temp door actuator is not working should be located on the drivers side of the air box down by the gas pedal or center dash area.

SOURCE: Only cold air on passenger side

I would first check and make sure that you have enough Freon in the system, on climate control dual systems only one side will put out cold air if the system is low on Freon. Eventually, both sides will put out warm/hot air if the system continues to loose Freon. As with all leaks the system should be checked and then the leak causing component replaced/repaired.

had the same problem but reversed (pass side warmer). It turns out the dual zone climate control unit was broke. Had to have a new one installed. Works fine now.

SOURCE: a/c blows hot air on drivers sde

The actuator door on the driver's side is out of position and needs to be reset. Remove the negative battery cable for 1/2 hour to reset the computer. Start the HVAC system and you should be able to hear the door adjusting itself and cold should come out of the driver's side vent.

The ac vent blows out hot air on the drivers side ,and the passenger side vent blows out cold air what could cause this problem on my 2001 buick century

its probably the actuator. its usually located under the dash in the center. you might be able to get to it by removing the glove box and looking to the drivers side. its a black box that has a wire connector on it. switch your heater control from hot to cold and you should here it click. replace it and i bet your problem is solved

I have a 1998 Buick Century has 2 zone heating Driver side works, pasinger side blows cold air

It sounds like you have either a defective passenger blend air door actuator or a broken passenger blend air door.

Sometimes the actuators just get stuck. Try turning the passenger control to full COLD and wait about 1 minute. Then turn it to full HOT and see if it changes. I have done this with several GM vehicles and I often get a "POP" noise when I change it back to HOT and everything starts working again. I have also had some luck getting stuck doors loose by removing the hush panel from under the dash and "thumping" on the A/C housing with my fist.

If none of this works, you will have to remove the dash to fix it.

98 buick century , with auto climate control ,

is it HOT or just not as cold. If its HOT, like heated air, there is a door problem, if its just not cool, the a/c refridgerent is low and will need a recharge, most likely the comp is leaking.
