I changed the head gaskets on my 2008 nissan titan,i need help seting the timing up,can you help me ?
SOURCE: Trying to put timing chain
no adjustment neccesary. There is a timing chain tensioner, which you will simply push back in to its body. once you do that, there should be a small hple somewhere on the body of the tensioner. That' sthere so you can piut a paper clip into it to keep the tensioner from coming out. Once you lock that in place you can remove the tensioner and than the timing chain.Once you get it all back together, just pull back on the pin and the tensioner will come out and put tension on the chain. good luck.
SOURCE: i need to know how to re assemble the top timing
You have to remove the chain tensioner and reset it which from memory is a bastard of a job At worst you going to have to remove front timing cover Cant remember if there is a plate on cover to get at it or not Located on exhaust side of motor anyway about alternator height Good luck!
SOURCE: how do you release the tension on the timing
there are two large bolts in timing casing area 32mm size, one tensions cam chain the other tensions intermediate shaft chain, make sure engine is pinned in crank pulley to lock engine before releasing tensioners
SOURCE: blown head gasket and timing chain replacement. I
go search on ebay, they sell kits for everything. yes there are gasket kits and timing chain kits much cheaper than buying each part
SOURCE: i need diagram of timing chain marks for a 02 nissan sentra with a 1.8 liter
