2002 olds alero
Im pretty sure I know what is wrong. This is pretty common in GM cars. Your security system has failed, meaning that you will still have power to the car but it will not start. Happened to me. I found this site they make a bypass module. I had a good experience with them and Installed it myself . Hope this helps ya.

4-5 hundred or 1000 ? idling really low try cleaning throttle plate and iac valve. really high you have something sticking check cable and throttle plate to see if it is opened up

Sounds like the wiper relay is on the fritz. Get the manual out and find the wiring diagram/ fuse box and replace the relay, this should fix the problem.

Since you've tried the 10 minute relearn process with no luck, Try this same process 3 x in a row without trying to start in between. Will take a little over a half hour. If this still does not work, and the security light is solid (not flashing) this indicates a bad TDM. (passlock security computer)(Theft Deterrent Module). A new one will cost about 700 bucks. But this entire system is able to be bypassed permanently. If all else fails, check out this link. try using the security lock so you can only open the trunk with the key. there is a latch on the inside of the trunk you swich.
