I had no fuel flow and checked everything. I replaced my fuel pump today and now the car starts and there is now fuel flow to engine. But it will not stay started...at all...to be able to drive? please help
Could be a fuel pump relay or a fuse
When you had the fuel pump out, did you clean or replace the screen over the fuel pump intake? mine was so gummed up that it would barely allow fuel through, yes I had to pull the pump back out to do it and so will you, but that's life, turned out I replaced the pump when I didn't need to.
Which engine, not posting the engine means all posts will be GENERIC. (basics, and non specific)
the car has what is called ASD and there are 6 things that trip this.
there is no fuel flow.
what does that mean.
1: i think it.
2: sparks good, and test fuel works?
3: you cracked the fuel rail and its dry. (the near useless dribble test)
4: fuel pressure is 0 cranking or 10psi, both are DOA.
the answer is here if the ASD drops out.
covers 93 to now.

it most definately is the crank shaft sensor. same exact prob i had. it costs about 60 bucks and 3 minutes to replace yourself. one bolt holds it into the transmission bell housing and one connector wire. very simple fix. call off the wrecker. just have plenty of ratchet extensions available i had to go in from behind the transfer case to reach the bolt but it was still pretty simple to install.

OK...I have a 93 outside...one diagram I have shows an ignition module next to coil...but there is none on mine, (4.0 engine)
Two items to check are crank sensor and cam sensor inside distributor. Test procedure can be found in just about any manual including haynes.
You will need a decent volt/ohm meter to do testing. You can also check codes by turning ignition switch on/off three times, leaving it on the third time. Check engine will flash code #'s (ex: one flash, pause two flashes= the number twelve.then followed by a longer pause then another set of flashes etc.)

check the fuel pump fuse/relay, could be just bad enough to cause an intermittent start/no start. and check fuel pressure, spark and the crank position sensor.

go to autozone they will check codes for free
