Your front drive shafts need changing, many prices on quality,If you have a 4.2 engine you should use genuine Ford parts. Good luck

SOURCE: Loud metal bang when turned tires to right

hi from the uk this bang you heard is most likely to be the coil suspension spring on the nearside most likely the top coil has broken this is not uncommon fault however slightly expensive but not beyond d i y if you want to save money it would be worth checking both sides and if you shop around you can obtain springs at reasonable price have done one recently on focus cost £56 here in uk time to diy if you have haynes manual it will give detailed instructions on renewal you will need to borrow spring compressors hope this helps keep in touch if you req further info/assistance good luck

SOURCE: everytime I hit a bump I hear a clunk in the front

I'd be inclined to check the suspension. Jack vehicle up so wheels hang free & check the mountings, springs/shock absorbers, & sway bar.
Also 'bounce' the vehicle at each corner in case a shockie has internal problems,

SOURCE: 95 ford escort I replaced lower ball joints and

take it back to the place which did the work and ask them to figure out where they went wrong. if you did the work, take it to a shop and ask them to align it and tell you what else you should have replaced. i assume the struts and strut mounts were already replaced when you did this work?

Testimonial: "Thank you very much. that was very helpful. i will take to the alignment shop in morning. i was careful i thought. thanks for the info. great job..."

Find out what is causing noise from full steering lock on right and left , from stationery positon

Depends on what the noise sounds like. Some noise can be normal if you are holding the steering wheel at full lock . That is the pressure from the pump pushing hydraulic fluid through the steering box. If it is usually loud at the slightest turn..could be bad steering pump , leaking hose, leaking seal at steering box, even a bad belt.

Grinding noise steering

It sounds like you're in need of a pump and probably a new hydraulic piston for your rack.

My '06 Honda Odyssey has gotten noisy recently.

If it is filled up to the "full hot" mark then you are okay, fluid wise. It almost sounds like once it gets warmed up, it starts running better. The "growling" noise (especially when turning) could be from it not getting enough fluid. Other than that, your power steering pump maybe on its last legs, and it is taking time to warm up before it starts pumping fluid correctly. Just make sure that you power steering resevoir is completely filled to the proper mark.

I have front end noise in the front left.

I work for a Chevrolet dealership and am appalled that they couldn't or wouldn't help you. The noises in the Cobalt, HHR, Malibu, and any other ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING car that GM builds are too common to not know what is wrong!!!!

This is a bulletin for the noise issues:
#04-03-08-006D: Steering and Front Suspension Noise Concerns
This bulletin is available to any dealership to view. The tool used to find noises is called a chassis ear. It is a required tool for the dealership. Again no excuses for not finding the noise.

The most common issues are the intermediate steering shaft, steering rack, control arm bushings, and steering column. There are other things that can cause noises but these have been most common since 2005. Again there is no excuse for not knowing the car.

My advise is to try a different dealer and give them the bulletin number above, and good luck to you.

Suspension noise?

If the alignment was checked then the mechanic had to shake down the front end to look for any loose parts that would effect it. Sway bar links on Mazadas commonly make noise and are not checked while doing alignment. (they do not effect tire wear) If you are handy enough to take your front wheels off you can check for play in these joints. There is a bar that runs through your car and connects to either the strut or the lower control arm. Try moving the links that connect the bar up and down to see if there is any play. Usually they loose grease and make clunking noises while force is applied. The strut mounts could also be going bad, but you would here the noise all the time.

Sounds and feels like something is loose in the in steering

that's a common problem with these trucks i have a guy i work with that has that noise i think he said that there is a u-joint in the steering column that makes the noise and that it can be greased but i've never seen it turn into anything serious just an aggrivating noise.
