My passenger floorboard of my 2005 gmc serria is very hot, what would cause this problem? I do have a heat shield on the Catalytic Converter. I live in Belize therefore I do not need a Catalytic Converter. My a/c fan does not work either, a/c does work but the faster I go the colder it is. At first the fan would stay on after turning the truck off so I replaced the fuse and now it doesn't come on at all.
When you say "a/c fan" are you talking about the fan inside the truck that circulates the cold air, or are you talking about a fan in the engine compartment? If it's in the engine compartment, that is a cooling fan for your engine, NOT an "a/c fan."
If your engine cooling fan does not work, your engine will overheat, especially in a hot climate like Belize. This would explain why your floorboard is hot. You must get this fixed, because overheating can damage your engine.
By the way, cooling fans are supposed to keep running until the temperature of a hot engine goes down even after your truck is turned off. So your fan may have been doing exactly what it was designed to do. However, if it ran for more than a half hour after turning off the truck, that's too long, and it needs a new heat sensor.
You should also check the level of engine coolant (sometimes called "antifreeze," because it doesn't freeze in cold weather). If there isn't enough, the engine will run too hot. Look for a plastic container on top of the engine connected by hoses to the radiator. There will be lines for "cold" (meaning the engine is cool) and "hot" (the engine has been running for a while). If there's no coolant in the container or it's below the appropriate line, add more. Check again after you've driven the truck.
Testimonial: "My radiator, coolant, fan under the hood is in good working order. It is the a/c fan/blower. I feel cold air coming out when I turn on the a/c,can hear the blower running but it is not pushing the air into the cabin. I believe that it is the "Blower motor resistor" but can't seem to locate the right replacement part on the internet or in Belize. Carter Group 9643 (12V)251946786 is currently the resistor that is in my truck. By the way, do you know if there is a Cabin Air Filter for the 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLT 6.6L V8-Diesel? I read somewhere that the cabin air filter will block the air flow to the a/c and prevent it from pushing out the air. Thanks"
I have no information on the resistor. Check GM's website for the service manual on your truck. According to many, GM discontinues Cabin Air Filters on their trucks after 2003, but I'd check to see if you have one. They cost between $10 and $20 in the US and some vehicles require two of them. Your model is known to have problems with the heater and a/c doors not opening or closing properly so that could also be the problem.

Catalytic converter stoped up or tailpipe pluged

you have a couple of problems first of all your drivers sd=ide heated heat pad is probably faulty, for your heating problem you may have to get the hvac doors recalibrated.

Check coolant level. Check for heat at the heater hose going from water pump to heater core at firewall. Check to see that cable is moving coolant control valve from the closed to open position. Low mileage so it shouldn't be plugged heater core.
Testimonial: "You were absolutely correct. Low coolant level. Put in some 50/50 and we're nice and toasty now, but need to find out why coolant was so low. Thanks."

I just took mine off to keep it from rattling, and bought a heat resistant header tape and placed the tape right over the Catalytic Converter on the body it self. Good luck and keep me posted if you have any more questions.

If air is hot then cold it sounds like you have a sizable air pocket in the cooling system. This could be caused by a leak or if you have recently done anything to the system without bleeding it afterward.
