P1450 EVAP Control System Fault, P1450 Unable To Bleed Up Fuel Tank Vacuum.
These are Emmision system faults, the can be as simple as the gas gap on the filler spout is not correct placed, or is missing. It can also indicate other issues with the fuel system from
gas tank to injection. Sometime replacing the gas gap with a correct new one solve the problem.

P1450 code came on after first really cold night.

  • P1450 Error Code Excessive Fuel tank Vacuum
If this only happens once from a moderate temperature day to a dramatic cool down overnight it could make sense.
When fuel cools the vapor condenses creating a vacuum in the tank. A working evap system should restore pressure eliminating excessive vacuum.

1997 mercury mountaineer code p1450

Hi there:
The first thing that I suggest could be replace the gas cap; also check a possible defective EVAP (Evaporative Emission Canister Vent solenoid). HERE the instructions.

DTC P1450 - Unable to Bleed Up Fuel Tank Vacuum
Monitors the fuel vapor vacuum and pressure in the fuel tank. The system failure occurs when the EVAP running loss monitor detects excessive fuel tank vacuum with the engine running (but not at idle).

Keep in mind that, if problem persists you will need a smoke machine to properly diagnose.

Hope this helps.

1999 Ford Expedition error code P1450

P1450 = Inability of Evaporative Emission Control System to Bleed Fuel Tank.

This means you have either blockage or a leak in that system. Or possibly your charcoal canister is bad. Do you regularly top off your gas tank? This is usually what makes a charcoal canister fail.
