To answer your Question: This all depends on the Options you have on your vehicle. Example Power Steering/No Power Steering; with AC/No AC, etc... Most of these do have a Tension Pulleys: meaning more than one tensioner.

While 1995 cars still used the OBD-I (on-board diagnostic) computer system (the last year of any American car including the F-body to use OBD-I), a majority of them had OBD-II connector ports under the dash.

How do I access the trouble codes on a 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis without a scan tool?

You can access them by going to the link, some late 1995 vehicles were OBD2, then you would have a diagnostic connector under the dash below the steering wheel, otherwise you do it under the hood (OBD1). FORD 1983 1995 OBD1 Decoder

How can I find the obd port on a 2005 suzuki forenza wagon?

in what country,?
we can not guess, that, not ever.
and is #1 important. as your cars,
EFI systems are governed by your countries laws."emissions"

in the USA, this is OBD2 car. for sure.
and we invented OBD2 so we know where the connector is.
it's with-in 1meter of the steering center shaft. in the cab. of car.
SAE/ASE specs. (rules)

it has 16 pins and is usually at the knee level.
a D shape black connector.

100% covered here , only 4 bucks to look, too.

here it is. mr. DLC.

What to do to read codes from check engine light

short answer, bad question! GEN 5 , trecel,
long:
is this a USA,
car,?? gee, why not say that. ????
as each car in each country has different systems. OBD1, OBD1.5 , OBD2, JOBD, EOBD. etc. or worse.....
did you look for the 16pin D-shell shaped DLC connector ? at drivers
knee?

so im blocked from being accurate, just that.... alone..
and what engine? 5 engines world wide.... a fact.
2E,3E,4E,5E (new twin cam in 95) or the 1N

in 1995 some engines on some cars were full or 1/2 OBD2 compliant.
that RIGHT, some with 4cyl are OBD1, and V6 OBD2, can prove it.

some cars in 1995, are OBD2 and have no flash codes,
some are compliant to OBD2 with a cable adaptor. 1.5 compliance
the EPA will list this car and non compliant ever if 100% good,
but connector is wrong, or get this, more than 1 meter for steering
so, RTM. the manual never lies, and that manual is , THE FSM.
http://actron.com/faq_detail.php?pid=16298&id=7
fact2 the earliest OBD2 is 1994 car. 1996 is mandate.
1995 cars are on LIMBO do your home work. ! or ask ?
to ask answer all questions above, country and ENGINE

Lots of disinformation on the web, i track this and know it.
OMG , 1995.5 year cars, ouch.

ok 1 step at a time.
the light must glow key on, does, ,if not its burned out or stolen
many cars, (vast) the nasty PO stole it so new owners can see truth.
very common. in real world.

short answer 2: can work (USA ONLY)!!!
i found the OBD2 standard, OBD2 connector by right knee.
i jacked in new scan took key on and its dead.
i open hood, look up and see , EPA sticker and no OBD2 compliant word, bingo a OBD1.5 car, ask for help. (custom cable)

tricky huh, i dont design them i only fix them i fix ECU/s

Whwre is the fuel pump relay for 95 mitsubishi diamonte wagon located?

Hi there,

You need to be certain the fault is due to the Fuel Pump Relay. Your vehicle's PCM will have stored the appropriate fault codes which are causing your problem. If you haven't already, have your codes read to confirm your fault.

The Fuel Pump Relay is actually hidden underneath the plastic 'centre' console (where the gear lever and ashtray are).

These are photos of locations, with the centre console/ashtray removed:

MPI CONTROL RELAY AND FUEL PUMP
RELAY CONTINUITY CHECK

UNDO THE RELAY CONNECTOR

1) Without Battery Voltage: check continuity between connector terminals 2 & 4
2) With Battery Voltage: connect 12v battery power to connector terminals 2 (-) & 4 (+) . Then, check continuity between connector terminals 1 & 3. Refer to diagram below:

wolfman304_29.gif

If the relay connector does not measure the correct continuity, then replace the relay.

Cheers,

I have a 1995 olds 88 that is pre OBD2 but it has the OBD2 connector. It will not allow me to retrive codes???

The 1995 Olds 88 has an obd 2 plug, but is an obd 1 system. Some people call it obd 1.5
There is no option to jump 2 contacts to flash the codes on the check engine light in these cars.
You will either need a compatible scan tool, or a cable to hook to a laptop and the software to pull the codes. (check out www.aldlcable.com)
One such scan tool is the Actron CP9185. It has the extra data pin for the 8192 baud communication with the computer in these cars. (pin 9 on the OBD 2 connector)
