I'm receiving a No communication with ECM code when I hook up my OBD2 ? What do you have ,cheap code reader ? Need a professional grade type - one that will read codes - communicate with all the modules on the vehicle . BCM, ABS , SRS , Instrument cluster ,HVAC , Radio etc... One of those or all will have U codes stored , a wiring diagram is going to help you . Do you know what U codes are ? instead of grounds is there battery voltage at pin 16 in DLC ?
you can get guide from many sites.. i know few
error codes/ fault codes, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, torque specs, engine info, switches functioning, assemble, disassembly, complete refurbish, repair, installation every single thing is covered
Fuses blow because there is an overload on the system. If the fuse blows when you step on the brakes then there may be a short in the wiring from the brake light switch to the lights, abs module or turn signal switch. If the fuse blows when you turn the key on then there is likely a short in the wiring to the brake light switch. Basically you will need a wiring schematic to check the wires at the switch and at each of the loads. Also verify that the fuse is supposed to be a 10 amp fuse. Hope this helps
Anti-Lock ControlPinpoint TestsPinpoint Test F: DTC C1266Refer to Wiring Diagram Set 42, Vehicle Dynamic Systems for schematic and connector information. See: Electronic Brake Control Module > Removal and Replacement > Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module. TEST the system for normal operation.NoVERIFY BJB fuse 109 (20A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR circuit 483 (RD). If the fuse is not OK, REFER to the Wiring Diagrams to identify the possible causes of the circuit short. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation. See: Vehicle > Electrical > Diagrams By Number------------------------------------------------- - - Disconnect: ABS Module C135. Measure the voltage between ABS module C135-25, circuit 483 (RD), harness side and ground.
if voltage is greater than 10 volts replace abs module if not
check fuse described in upper section if fuse is bad replace if it blows again you need to check wiring
The Bosch ABS 2 system can be bled in normal manner, starting from most distant wheel from master cylinder. In Bosch ABS 2, the solenoids open to relieve pressure and the pump pushes it back to the MC. So in conventional bleeding, only the recirculation leg's fluid is not replaced. To replace/flush the fluid in the recirc leg, you can either jumper the solenoid and pump relays while pressure bleeding (you'll need wiring schematic) or SAFELY engage ABS on a slippery road surface and then rebleed the entire system again.
check your abs censers at the wheels. i had a similar prob, is the abs light on? mine had come off in the snow, i checked under the car driver wheel were the abs censor plugs in, the wire had unplugged it also grounds on on the small steel plate that it is clipped to, so if it comes off it will also do the same i hope this helps to solve your problem.
