Why does all lights work in dash headlights come on doors lock and unlock but car wont start wont even try to start or crank? Battery works fine alternator seems fine starter as well. The engine will not turn. Why?
If the anti theft light is blinking and you say that everything else fine.. My first thought is that the key is not programmed to the vehicle. The key has a internal chip that must be programmed to vehicle in order to start. Now my other question is, Is the key your using for the vehicle the original key or have you just recently had a key made? Regardless, in order for the yur Tribute to start, the key. Or keys have to be program to vehicle by your neighbor dealership. Thats the reason for your anti theft light is blinking
Looks like You'll probably have to let the dealer re-program the theft deterrent processor

Wonder if it is a reminent of an old security system? Rather than taking it out and leaving a hole and wire splices, they just left the armed light there. Just a thought though. Do you have an owners manual? If so, check through it and see if there is a light, that is supposed to be there. Best wishes to you.

Do you get a heavy relay click when you turn the key to start?. If so, check the large wire that goes to the starter motor from the relay terminal (large too) with a meter or test light. If 12 volts appear at the starter terminal, make sure that the negative battery cable is connected to the engine either directly, or through a short woven cable from the frame to the engine. If ok, the starter motor may have gone south. Good luck!

You should have disconnected the battery and fully charged it before starting the car.
The low voltage may have damaged some of the electronic components in the alarm system.
Charge the battery fully, then reconnect it and see if that helps.

Disconnect the battery to the vehicle for 15 minutes and while disconncted change the battery in your key fob. Good Luck.
