2004 Neon SXT cylinder misfire

The check engine light came on about 2 months ago and I went and had the codes pulled from autozone. They gave me two codes. One was for a multiple cylinder misfire and then a code for cylinder #2 misfire. I replaced the coil pack, spark plugs, and wires. Also the whole time it seemed to be running fine going down the road, but when I'm at a stop light or just letting it idle it starts running rough. When I'm stopped like that, the check engine light goes from just being on to flashing. When I start going again then it goes back to being on all the time. Now I'm getting the #2 cylinder misfire code and a system voltage low code, the multiple misfire is gone. This has been a real pain. Anyone have any ideas?

2004 Dodge stratus SXT. Code P0304.

The code tells you there is a misfire on cylinder 4. Check the connector and the coil pack itself.

You can also do a test. Move that coil pack to another cylinder say 4 to 2 and see of the code moves with it and becomes P0302.

I have a 2003 dodge neon sxt auto that has a misfire in the second cylinder and changed spark plugs, coil, wire, and fuel injectors. did a compression test and checked the ohms just about everywhere but still...

yeah it could a defective computer. or it could be the catalytic converter, a bad oxygen sensor, or a burned exhaust valve. oxygen sensors can be really screwy though. ive had 2 cars get check engine lights because of the oxygen sensor. so i would definitely check that. if you already have though i would be leaning towards a faulty computer.

Misfire #1 cylinder (autozone scanner) I changed all plugs, boots, and #1 cylinder coil. Went back to autozone and says misfire #1 cylinder. should I try replacing #1 injector now?

inspect the sparkplug plug first!! After engine is running for 20 sec (while misfiring), pull your #1 sparkplug and check for fuel. If there is no fuel replace the injector!!If there is fuel, post a comment for more help!!

My cars engine turns over, but it won't start.

You'll need to determine if it's getting fuel, & spark, if you know how to check it. Also try cycling key on, off, on, off, on, and leave on and count flashes from check engine light. Will always be 2 digit number. For example flash, short pause, flash would be code 11, flash, flash, flash, pause, flash flash, would be 32. After every 2 number set, it will pause a little longer then start again if more codes are present. Try this and write them down & get back to us. These are trouble codes to try & tell you whats wrong.
