I have a chip that allows my truck to start key only works if chip is inserted before it will turn over and start I have lost the only chip what can I do? Please help

Hi! Take your key to the dealership with Vin number and details of vehicle and they will key code another key to fit your truck in minutes if they have a blank in stock.

Hi,

I am not allowed to provide instructions to bypass an antitheft system, I am sorry.

But I can tell you that it ist not simple to be done,I think it´s even impossible to override the system of your car. The reason is that the immobilizer is included in the engine control module, so there is no way to bypass the system.

The easiest -and cheapest- way is to order a new key or tow the car to the next Ford Branch to program the existing key.

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly. Give this method a try. (NOTE you must have your radios' security code or your radio will go into the safe mode)
You need 2 people for this.
Disconnect the battery negative cable.
One person sits inside the vehicle holding the valet switch under the dash with the door OPEN.
2nd person re-connects the battery.
Try starting.

If it still does not work:

Key ON.
Disconnect battery 2 mins pause.
Reconnect battery while other person holds valet switch depressed with the drivers door OPEN and the key is still ON.
Try a start..... no luck yet... press and hold valet switch and attempt a start.

No chance here call a breakdown truck or call out the dealer who can start the car with their special software

Technically you can't. The computer will not power up the coil and injectors without that chip. You can add a new chip as long as you have the old one, but it takes a dealer or really good locksmith to cut a new key with the original chip, or reprogram the system for a new key.
