1995 Suzuki sidekick doesn't get fire.

which engine 8v or 16valves>?

the 1995 has 2 engine choices and 3 fuel system choices. world wide.

8V TBI

16v MP

and bloody carbs. (many)

my guess is it ran before ?

and guess 2 you tried to do a tuneup> is that it?

and did not change the wires 1by

and removed the distributor?

my guess is ignitor means spark plug

so the question is how to STATIC time a new Dizzy.

there are 15 ways from sunday to mess it up for sure

even buying a china rotor that fits on 3 ways. did you buy other parts?

for the dizzy, (distributor)

see here, there are 2 dizzy , the 60A or the 58B .

http://www.fixkick.com/IGN_timing/index.html

in the appropriate page, see FAST TIME. 8 steps.

btw all books (except suzuki) show timing the dizzy wrong.

GM started this folly, and the copy cats, still do that. Chilton disease

I call it.

here is the correct way for both.

the mistake you made was not setting the crank pulley to TDC #1 firing first.

firing order 1,3,4,2

and rotor direction is polar opposites

the 2 engine look like this.

note carefully how they time , backwards to eash other ,

http://www.fixkick.com/IGN_timing/firing-both.JPG

there are 4 ways to time them but this way. is the FACTORY way.

8v fast time

http://www.fixkick.com/IGN_timing/8v-procedure.html#fastplant

16v fast time

http://www.fixkick.com/IGN_timing/16v-procedure.html#fastplant

and last , how to tell which engine is there.

the 2 valve covers , see em?

http://www.fixkick.com/find-parts.html

how is that?

Have1999 suburban k1500 5.7. have spark out of coil but no spark at plugs. have changed rotor and cap several times what else could it be.need wiring diagram to see where wire out of distributor goes...

If you can tell me what color the wire is I should be able to tell you where it goes.
But if you are getting spark from the coil tower the primary ignition system is working.
Have you checked the coil wire, and will it fire a plug ? The coil could be weak enough to fire a plug in open air but not in a cylinder under compression.
You do know for a fact the distributor rotor is turning, right ?

Will turn over but not start have replaced plugs wires dist.cap rotor ignition module

Do you have spark??? if so, check fuel pressure, these trucks must have 60 psi to run, 50 psi will not work,.

The distributor not firing

tap lightly on dist. not on cap while someone cranks motor,be careful of moving parts,if it starts change ign. module in dist. if not check cap rotor, coil and power to ign.module,if theres power to module my bet would be on ign. mod
