Remove all screws from the inside door panel around the handle and anywhere else then gently take a flat screw driver and start prying the door panel away from the door but be careful not to break the plastic clips on the inside of the door panel

Take a look at end of door where latch is & post where the 2 meet when closed. Look for round metal button/contacts, about 1/2" in diameter. If you look close, they should line up to make contact with each other when door is closed. Take some fine steel wool (preferred) or fine sandpaper and scuff them up until you see metal is clean on both surfaces. Now try it, and let me know what happens.

There is an ecu flash for this repair. You may get the locks to start working again with a battery disconnect.

2004 chrysler town and country remove driver side oor panel

you will need to remove the screws that hold on the panel. One is located in the hand cup that you would pull on to shut the door, and I think if I recall correctly another one in the door open latch. The rest of the panel has plastic clips that hold it on there all the way around, just pull lightly on it, adjust your strength as needed to get it to "pop" out one clip at a time. Then you will also need to take note to not to fully remove the panel and disconnect your electric items such as your power window switches and speaker.

There are about 10 fasteners holding it in place. Check with your library to see if they offer online car repair manuals. If not, invest in a 1-year subscription to alldatadiy.com and print out the diagrams.

How do I remove a drivers side mirror from a 2001 Chrysler Town & Country?

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door
