hi, mercedes are good for 200,000 before you change transmission oil, hope this helps my E300 has done 350,000 and still changes fine as the oil is not a lubricant as such it lasts longer and does not lose it's viscosity, hope this helps you, thanks for useing fixya

Look on the back of the bottle of fluid you are looking to buy, if it does not say is is approved by MB, don't use it.

dexron III has replaced all fluids you can ask at auto parts store but will verify this, Ford had type F but was replaced with dexron ii and III
