Steering pump replaced twice this month. Gone out again.help

Elaine,
1. Heat oxidizes power steering fluid, causes pump failure. Unlikely to overheat this time of year but there could be a restriction on pressure side of system causing it to overheat.
2. Many mechanics use "power steering fluid". Some systems require specialty fluids, Mitsubishi and VW come to mind. Google the type of car you have and power steering fluid and see what it comes up with. If wrong fluid has been used make sure it is flushed out and new fluid is added.
3. Chinese parts and or bad installaitons. It happens.
Hope this helps.

this is some information on the braking Fluid

Fluid

Damaged parts and a buildup of heat can break down the hydraulic fluid that is in the caliper, brake lines, and master cylinder. The fluid, DOT-3 for the Sebring, will go from a golden-yellow color to a dark brown or black when the particles are damaged from heat. A complete purge of the braking system is required, to replace all of the fluid. Usually, the caliper pistons are at fault, as the pads heat up they come closest to the fluid at the piston. This "cooks" the fluid, and as it is retracted back into the system (as it cools or the brakes are released), it causes the heat to travel into sensitive areas of the system. The seals in the master cylinder and power booster are prone to damage from heat. The fluid will lose its ability to maintain pressure, as it introduces air into the system and compresses.
the other smell could carbon oil that has leaked out of the cam cover seal this would not affect the oil level. but it will start to burn oil if the seal is not replaced. it could also be an antifreeze smell you could have a small leak and when pressure is built up it self seals under pressure, This could be the gasket on the thermostat housing or heat line. check these parts.

The air suspension on my 2005 Lincoln Navigator will not work when it is cold outside. It works just fine in the heat of the summer. When it is cold, if I drive it for 20 minutes, turn it off and then...

Your fluid in the unit is too heavy and will act this way until it's warm enough to start flowing thru the pump. Heat from the engine is apparently what is warming the fluid enough to make it work after it warms up. Have the fluid changed to a much lighter fluid in the pump reservoir.

2005 ford focus windshield washer not working. It was working then I filled it up with fluid and now it won't work. Wipers work but no fluid.

If it is cold in your area, the fluid may have frozen in the lines and or tank. Be sure you use fluid suitable for the weather conditions. If the tank is frozen - the heat from the engine may thaw it but the lines going to your wind shield may be exposed too much to the exterior to thaw from engine heat and will have to be cleared by an external heat source. A hair dryer may work - be careful of painted surfaces if you do use a heat gun or hair dryer. Hope this helps. Let me know. Thanks

There's a bleed screw located at the bottom of the radiator. Open screw let fluid run out of radiator. Fill radiator with water run vehicle. Repeat above steps until fluid is clear. Use a coolant system flush. Refill system with appropriate amount of coolant and water.

The heat in my 1999 Buick Century stopped working

could be a vacuumn device in the heater system itself, or a thermostadt problem just above the water pump, unless you have more than minium experience with repairing autos, take it to a good mechanic, should be less than $100 fix.

The driver's side washer fluid is frozen

If you are using the "anti-freeze" type washer fluid, freezing should not be an issue anyway. You say that heating does not help, my guess is that your problem is a blockage rather than a freezing issue. Good Luck! I hope you find this to be very helpful!
