SOURCE: I am hooking up plow lights for a 2001 dodge ram
on back of lights look at color wires the ones coming from high beams and the low beams theres your color wires there
i had this problem to, do not hook the ground wire from truck to your radio. use the braided wire that hooked to your old factory radio by inserting a bolt into the braided wire and ground from your new radio.
then check fuses one more time and you are good to go.I didnt think this would work but it did..

SOURCE: what color is the fuel gauge wire on a 89 dodge
I know that the plunger wire inside the tank is yellow, I just replaced the fuel pump today. If that doesnt help, find a wiring diagram, and follow that yellow wire from thats inside the tank to the guages on the schematics.
SOURCE: I am installing a remote starter in my 04 dodge
I don't mean to cast any doubt about your automotive electrician skills, but from what I have seen researching problems on this subject, even the pros are having problems when it comes to installing aftermarket electronics on late model vehicles with factory security systems. One little mistake and the system will lock down your truck to where it won't start. Consider having the remote start installed at a shop that specializes in such things. If anything goes wrong, they'll be responsible for making it right. If you do it, and something goes wrong, you'll be out big bucks to get things working again. Just my 2 cents. No offense.
