My 2000 cadillac escalade headlights wont come on somtimes nut it wil come on if the car is off bt when i cut the car on they cut off they also cuts off while im driving but all the other lights come on and works i changed the module switch and fuses

pop the hood. locate two long metal pins - one goes in horizontally, one goes in vertically. Pull the pins and the assembly comes out. remove top rubber cover. Unplug bulb. Remove. Replace. Repeat.

I had the same exact problem. I found that I could make the lights come on by pushing on the top connector on the front side of the lighting control module (LCM). I pulled the connector off, cleaned it and put it back together with some dielectric grease. Only time will tell if I fixed it. On my car, it would only have problems after the headlights had been on for about 3 hours; kind of hard to re-create.

Did you try the hi beams ? If they work, could youpossibly have 2 burnt out low beam bulbs.? I'm a pro, but it faked me out one time.

you need a new starter I just went through this problem had my starter changed and have not blown any fuses in days....oh and by the way getting to the starter was not and easy task.

If your check engine light is coming on, then there should be a trouble code stored in your computer to tell you what area to look in for problem. Run into an autozone, or Pep Boys & get a free scan and see what they say comes up for codes & then if not obvious what the problem is, get back to us & we'll help you out.
