Service engine light may be wanting you to simply change the oil and reset the code.
You don't need to locate the ECM (what would you do if you found it???)
making the light go out will not enable the car to pass smog! it is indicating a problem and this problem will surface when it is checked at smog inspection.
It depends on what engine you have....if its a 4 cyl.2.5L start from the centre and work your way out in a clockwise position...first torque pass all bolts to18 ft/lbs second pass 27 ft/lbs then the 3rd pass all bolts to 90 degrees...or 1/4 turn.
If its a 6 cyl 2.8 engine all head bolts same way clocwise from the centre..to 70 ft/lbs have fun..
