sounds like there is something in the wrong place in the horn button. it makes contact when you turn left just as if you had pushed the horn button. i wonder does your airbag light ever come on, i mean not just in the startup sequence, that's normal. probably you need to take the horn button part of the steering wheel apart and get things back in the right place or maybe replace some parts, but because of the airbag being right there too it's not something i would recommend that you do yourself. accidentally setting off an airbag is not a good thing.

Sounds (no pun intended) like it may be your horn relay that has gone out. The horn relay is located in your fuse box. The relay clicks to engage the live horn circuit which drives the speaker.
